After I finished my initial level 1 teacher training, I knew I wanted to teach kids, but I didn't want to learn a few yoga games and be given a lesson plan and be sent on my way. I wanted to understand the fundamental difference between teaching adults and teaching children yoga.

What the training provided me was an incredibly strong, reliable foundation and a set of tools that  I can draw upon no matter which group of kids I'm teaching.

I think ultimately as teachers we want to feel confident and capable and that is exactly how I felt when I finished training with Inspired Kids Yoga.

You will be given...

* the theory you need to know about anatomy, development & teaching methods.

* a whole tool kit of yoga poses; breathing & relaxation techniques.

* frameworks that are easy for you to understand & implement.

* PLUS what you won't get anywhere else- the lesson plan template that I personally use in my kids yoga classes. You can cut and past your own ideas into it so that your classes can be authentic to you, but using a tried and tested lesson plan outline.

The next best thing to being face to face...

When I first started teaching kids yoga back in 2005, I never imagined that one day I would be sharing yoga to people all over the world on a computer! Whilst there is nothing quite like face to face training, there is still very much a community feel in our online group and there are opportunities for us to cover all of the "hands on" / person to person/ practical teaching experience aspects of the training.

You will have a chance to learn how to give and receive kind, constructive feedback in a way that inspires you to evolve.

You're in safe hands

Stacey Louise is the creator and lead teacher of Inspired Kids Yoga Teacher Training which is a Registered Children's Yoga School (RCYS) with Yoga Alliance.

You're in safe hands.

I am a Level 3 Senior Registered Yoga Teacher; Registered Children's Yoga Teacher (RCYT) and a Yoga Teacher Trainer since 2012.

As your facilitator, I illustrate key points with real life stories from my 16 years experience teaching yoga to kids & teens in yoga studios; schools; day care centres; festivals; sporting teams and paediatric hospital wards.

I have trained in other speciality areas including: Yoga Therapy; AcroYoga; Children's Fitness & Theatre.

I have packaged up what I have learnt over 20 years into a series of modules, frameworks and templates designed to make your learning easy so that you don't have to do 5 separate training courses to learn all that you need to confidently deliver an authentic, heartfelt yoga class.

You matter to me...

Numbers are capped at 15 people. Smaller group sizes leads to a more intimate learning environment. Whilst other training schools have 30-50 people in them, that is not the Inspired Kids Yoga ethos. I want to get to know your name without a name tag, I want to look you in the eyes and connect. I am passionate about holding a space conducive to optimal learning.

The inspiration doesn't end when the course does!  There is an ongoing connection with the community of other Inspired Kids Yoga Teachers. We bounce ideas off each other; share resources; cross promote our classes and cheer on each other's successes and unique contributions.

You become part of a supportive tribe.

A venue you'll love...

Our Yoga space overlooks "Picnic Creek"  at the tranquil Kondalilla Eco Resort, Montville/Flaxton, Sunshine Coast, QLD, Australia.

This charismatic venue is the perfect place to immerse in inspiration.  It has been mindfully selected to ensure you are in the optimal learning environment to feel relaxed and ready to learn!

If you are visiting the Sunshine Coast, I highly recommend staying an extra day or two so you can enjoy the local delights of both beach and hinterland.

If you choose to stay onsite, it is just a short stroll back each afternoon to your very own treehouse. Nestled amongst the trees, you will wake up to the sounds of birds and can enjoy a morning rainforest walk before training each day.

The treehouse has a fireplace, spa bath, self contained kitchen and a really big, comfy bed with a view of the trees.

Get in quick- there are only 9 private treehouses available.

“I loved your training.  I knew the quality would be there, as I love how you teach, but I did not expect to love the content as much as I did.  I felt very inspired by everything that was presented to us. I had a fear that Kids Yoga was all about being silly and being a big kid, which is not really who I am.  I prefer the deeper layers.  I was really happy and surprised that there is a place for the deeper teaching of Yoga to children.”

My shout for lunch

Each day of training, we will feast on a plate of delicious lunch that is nutritious, vegetarian, gluten free, locally sourced; supercharged and made with love by The Wholefood Kitchen.

As we all have very different ideas about what constitutes a healthy breakfast, I'll leave that one up to you. For dinner, you can either prepare something in your own cabin kitchen or dine locally at the resort restaurant.

At afternoon tea, your tastebuds will be delighted by a scrumptious, sweet treat.

Herbal teas on offer all day!

Registration is voluntary, however it lifts the standards of the yoga teaching profession and boosts your options for teaching opportunities especially in school or clinical settings where professional registrations are the 'norm'.

Whilst, it is not a legal requirement to register as a Children's Yoga Teacher because Yoga is an unregulated industry, (that's a bit scary, huh?!) it is necessary that you get insurance and a "working with children safe card" (police checks/ "blue card").

Inspired Kids Yoga has aligned with an insurance company that will insure you after your training to teach what has been covered in the training.

Yoga Teachers are encouraged to fulfil the recommended hours outlined by the governing bodies for training standards- Yoga Alliance and Yoga Australia. For this reason, Inspired Kids Yoga Teacher Training meets the guidelines for both Australian & International teaching standards.

Rest assured, that the quality and professionalism of your training is not compromised with  Inspired Kids Yoga.
