Registration

Inspired Kids Yoga Teacher Training is a registered Children's Yoga School with Yoga Alliance and a registered CPD provider with Yoga Australia.

Your trainer, Stacey Louise is a Registered Children's Yoga Teacher ("RCYT") with Yoga Alliance & a Senior Level 3 Yoga Teacher with Yoga Australia.

Do you want to be a Registered Children's Yoga Teacher?

Whilst, it is not a legal requirement to register as a Children's Yoga Teacher because yoga is an unregulated industry, it is encouraged. Registering as a Children's Yoga Teacher with a governing body (Yoga Australia or Yoga Alliance) reassures you that you meet industry standards; gives you professional support, boosts your options for teaching opportunities for you, especially in school or clinic settings where professional registrations are the 'norm'.

Yoga Australia

As of 2019, Yoga Australia no longer has a separate Registered Children's Yoga Teacher (RCYT) category. They do maintain their recommendation for Children's Yoga Teachers to be a registered Level 1 Yoga Teacher (350 hours) + undertake 50 hours of speciality training in Children's Yoga, with 33 hours of that being face to face content. That equates to about  5 days of face to face training.

Yoga teachers registered with Yoga Australia can claim CPD points towards their level upgrade or annual registration when completed the training.

Yoga Alliance

The Yoga Alliance requirements to be a RCYT is to have a 200 hr Level 1 Yoga Teacher certificate + 95 hours of specific training in Children's Yoga. Of those 95 hours, 87 of them must be face to face.

To be a Registered Children's Yoga Teacher (RCYT) with Yoga Alliance you need to be a registered Level 1 Yoga Teacher (200 hours) and undertake 95 hours of speciality training in Children's Yoga, with 87 hours of that being face to face content. That equates to about  10 days of face to face training.

The school that you train with needs to be a Registered Children's Yoga School ("RCYS") with Yoga Alliance so that their curriculum adheres to the guidelines.

Inspired Kids Yoga Teacher Training is registered with Yoga Alliance.

Your trainer, Stacey Louise is a RCYT with Yoga Alliance.

The PROfessionals package has been created to meet the RCYT criteria of Yoga Alliance. It is 87 hours face to face and offers an additional 8 hours via correspondence to complete the required 95 hours.

This means that once you complete the PROfessionals package and have 200 hours of training as a Level 1 teacher, you will be eligible to become a RCYT with Yoga Alliance.

If you intend to teach yoga to kids and teens internationally, then registration with Yoga Alliance is recommended. Likewise, if your Level 1 Yoga Teacher Training course is registered with Yoga Alliance.
